Hello everyone,
Nice to meet you! My name is Stephanie Weiner. I am currently a senior and this is my last class I will be taking at Temple University! I was born and raised in Staten Island, New York. Moving to Philadelphia and attending Temple University was a great experience. I majored in Public Health and had several opportunities that allowed me to improve the quality of life of Philadelphia citizens. I also was a member of the dance team for three years, performing at several university athletic events. Well, four years of undergrad flew by and I have now moved back to New York City. Beside from take this online class this summer, I will also be interning at the NYC Department of Health where I hope to work upon graduation.
With that said, American History was one of my favorite classes in high school so I am really looking forward to learning some new facts and/or information. I also look forward to reading all of everyone's posts and replying with my personal opinions and inputs.
- Stephanie Weiner

Hey all,
I'm David Donley, I'm an Architecture Student at Temple. I hope to double major in Architecture Design and Architecture Preservation going into my Junior year. I hope to go on to graduate school at the architecture school at Temple and become a practicing Architect. I'm from the New Jersey Coast and have always enjoyed the history of the whaling, fishing, duck hunting, clamming, etc. that went on in my home town. I've also always loved studying, restoring, fixing, and reusing historical technologies. In high school I volunteered at the New Jersey Museum of Transportation to learn and work on old equipment, and now do modeling of the same thing. The class looked interesting and I hope to learn more from it.

Hi guys, my name is Chris DiGiuseppe and i'll be a senior in the fall. I'm a criminal justice major here at Temple. I am hoping to work in law enforcement after graduation. I want to start out as a police officer and would really like to work for Philly PD. After a number of years I would like to try to get into a federal law enforcement agency. Currently scoop ice cream for a living but i'll have my EMT certification soon and hopefully I'll be able to find an EMS job somewhere in the city. I do enjoy American history so I'm thinking that this will be a good class.

Hi everyone! My name is Jennifer and I am a sophomore Bioengineering major with a concentration in biomechanics. My eventual goal is to develop robotic prosthetics. I love spending time with my family, world traveling and going to the beach. I have grown up in a very rural area in Southern York Co PA and I am about 2 hours west of Philly and about an hour north of Baltimore City. Because of my location I have always been relatively close to many Revolutionary War, War of 1812. and Civil War battle sites and monuments, so visiting these sites were never out of the ordinary. After growing up around these battle sites, having many family members in the armed forces and visiting Washington D.C. numerous times, I became very interested in War/Military History and I think that the history that surrounds the battles and wars that we fought in something that is quite interesting. This class seems very interesting and I cannot wait to see what I can learn from it.

Greetings everyone,
My name is Jack Sharkey and I am a senior at Temple , and will be graduating at the end of summer session 2. My major is Environmental Studies and I am also minoring in History. I currently work as an intern in the field of environmental chemistry, and will be continuing in that field post graduation. However, I am very interested in the history of American society, particularly the different subcultures of the mid-late 20th century; and the relationship they have with music as well as popular culture and how they have affected our society in the 21st Century. I reside in the wonderful suburb of Collegeville aka The Ville, but plan on relocating to the Pacific Northwest in the near future. In my free time I enjoy writing and playing music, snowboarding, and fishing.

Hi everyone! My name is Dao. I am a graduating senior majoring in Biology at Temple University. I had plans of attending medical school right after college until my last semesters, I had the opportunities to travel to different states and countries and immediately fell in love with the lifestyle and the opportunities that it has to offer. I am now running and starting a couple of businesses in Philly as well as in other areas such as Puerto Rico. I am taking this class online due to the constant traveling. During my free time I love to read self help books and autobiographies about world class leaders such as Elon Musk and Warren Buffet.
